Modern Houses

The type of home matters.

The coverage that you place on a home often depends on the way the property is being utilized.  Second homes, seasonal properties, and rental properties are afforded different coverages than a primary residence.

Dwelling fire policies are for a second home or rental property.  They are designed to cover the structure of the building but offer very little in terms of personal property coverage by design.

Additional property coverage can be added, but it is limited unless added.

Primary Residence

The HO Homeowner policy is designed to provide coverage for the property, additional structures, and personal property coverage for the insured's possessions.  There is usually medical coverage and liability coverage included and the limits for each may vary.

Additional coverages can be added on like water sewer back up, earthquake coverage, equipment breakdown, even identify coverage in some instances.

Short Term Rentals.

Let's face it short term rentals are rental properties.  You just don't have a long lease agreement with the tenant.  While not every insurance company deals with short-term rentals, we have dwelling fire options for your Vrbo or Airbnb.

Seasonal properties

Fear not.  Most homeowner companies have coverage available for your seasonal home, and we are aware that personal property often times remains at that property.  You can have peace of mind that your home and property are secured.
